When Jasmine heard about CALRegional's Pharmacy Technician Program, she felt a spark ignite within her. Without hesitation, she decided to take the plunge and return to school. The thought of switching careers was daunting, but she knew it was what she needed to do.

As soon as Jasmine stepped into CALRegional on her first training day, she felt confident with her new career decision. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with everyone communicating openly and ensuring every student felt comfortable. But what truly stood out for Jasmine was the hands-on training provided by their instructor, Heather Thornton.

Heather's passion for teaching shone through as she guided them through each lesson with patience and expertise. Jasmine found herself getting lost in the world of healthcare and soaking up every bit of knowledge from Heather.

The weeks flew by quickly as Jasmine immersed herself in learning everything there was to know about the Pharmacy Technician field. And before she knew it, graduation day arrived!

This was only the beginning for Jasmine because she jumped straight into an externship program right after graduating! Her hard work paid off when they offered her a full-time position upon completing the externship.

Life took on a new meaning for Jasmine now that she had achieved such an incredible feat. She constantly pushed herself to achieve higher goals because "school was good" for her!

As an inpatient pharmacy 24/7 cart supply person, work was never dull, requiring constant attention and hands-on skills. Some days were tough with long hours, but Jasmine never complained because she was finally doing something that fulfilled her.

Jasmine's hard work had paid off, and she was living a much happier life. She had found true satisfaction and fulfillment in the healthcare field, thanks to CALRegional. And with a smile, Jasmine knew this was just the beginning of a fantastic journey ahead.

At CALRegional, April found her instructors, Frank and Lorie, very helpful. Their hands-on approach made learning more manageable for her, and their skills training helped build her confidence in working in the healthcare field.

The final exam at CALRegional was challenging, but April got 100% on it thanks to all the hard work she put into studying with Frank and Lorie’s help! After completing the program with flying colors, April felt more than prepared when it came time for her externship – which eventually led her right into a full-time job as a Medical Assistant.

Life has changed drastically since then – now that she has solid employment again, April feels much more financially secure and is even considering further exploring other healthcare areas.

The experience was amazing - everything from the lectures taught by Ms. Johnson to the hands-on learning with real people instead of fake arms made Chelsea's experience truly unique. After completing her coursework and receiving her certification, Chelsea felt more confident than ever before about pursuing her dreams of being an expert phlebotomy technician.

With newfound confidence coursing through her veins, Chelsea landed a great opportunity in Oregon that was perfect for her skillset and ambition. At this new job, Chelsea handled tasks such as taking patient orders, processing specimens correctly according to protocol, and following medical safety guidelines carefully while on shift. The joy she got out of helping patients just like herself who were seeking better healthcare experiences kept her motivated every day on the job!

Haley was thrilled to get hands-on practice with medical equipment, making learning easy. After completing the program and receiving her certification, Haley felt proud when she walked across the stage at Muzetta Thrower Adult School with her class.

After completing her externship, she was hired at Spring Medical Clinic. As a new Medical Assistant, she checked patients' vitals and administered B12 injections. Haley also handled administrative work, such as filing paperwork accurately into patient records.

Haley loved getting up every morning knowing that she was making a difference in people's lives through healthcare -- it gave her an amazing feeling inside! She quickly realized this was a career she enjoyed- it truly changed her life for good!

The program was fantastic – Jessica and Jacqueline, her instructors, were knowledgeable but also very personable and fun! Breanne's favorite part was the hands-on learning; having only ten people in each class made it easier to get individual attention when needed. After completing the program with flying colors, Breanne received her certification and felt great about everything she had accomplished!

Nowadays, Breanne works as a Phlebotomy Technician at Vibra Hospital, where most of her patients are geriatric ones who require even more delicate blood draws than usual. But thanks to all that hands-on training she received from CALRegional, Breanne is confident enough now to complete these difficult tasks without any issues whatsoever. Through this journey back into education, Breanne has become increasingly appreciative of life–something invaluable in today’s hectic world!

In particular, Genevieve enjoyed doing injections and hands-on learning since they gave her a better understanding of what it’s like to be in charge of patient care.

When graduation day finally arrived, Genevieve felt nothing short of triumphant as she crossed the stage with her certificate in hand: “Yeah! I did it!” It had been a long road from sitting at home without job prospects for over a year to completing this program confidently and excited about what lay ahead in her new career path.

She not only taught in terms of medical practices but also in teaching life-long skills such as organization and perseverance, which helped Maya thrive during her studies.

After completing the program, Maya passed her national test and landed herself a job shortly afterward! Her entire family was incredibly supportive; they were thrilled for their beloved mother, who could now provide them with financial security while still being able to take care of them at home, too. It truly felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders!

The experience at CALRegional proved excellent; everyone came from different backgrounds, and her instructor was fantastic. Luz's favorite part was definitely the externship portion, where she could apply what she learned in actual workplace settings. After completing the program and receiving her certification, Luz felt an immense sense of accomplishment for finally achieving something so big—she no longer felt like an aimless wanderer living paycheck-to-paycheck; instead, she now had a purpose in life again.

Nowadays, Luz is working full-time at the local blood bank, where she continues to learn new skills, with her current skill set being honed through what she learned during her time with CALRegional. It really goes without saying that life has been much different for Luz since then: Her career has progressed significantly due to all that hard work put into succeeding in this field!
